Mazda unveiled a special 2,000 unit limited edition MX-5 EU Edition to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the MX-5. The special edition will be available in three colors - True Red, Aurora Blue or Crystal White Pearl with special chrome facia and features 1.8 litre 93kW/126 PS petrol engine with 167 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm while consuming only 7 litres per 100 km (33 mpg).
To celebrate two decades of success of the ultimate lightweight roadster, an entry in the Guinness Book of Records and over 870,000 owners worldwide, Mazda has created a special 20th Anniversary MX-5 exclusive to Europe in a limited edition of only 2,000 units, each equipped with a special edition scuff plate with a serial number from 1 to 2000. Taking as starting point a production model 1.8-litre, soft top version, Mazda has created a true collector’s item that comes in three colours – red, blue or white, like the original MX-5 – with special chrome facia, new wheel finishing, body-colour interior decorative panelling, a special strut tower bar (for stiffer, sportier handling) and 20th Anniversary logos inside and out.
